One of these tactics consists of Instagram giveaways. A giveaway is when an Instagram user with a very large follower account is promoting a prize (this prize is usually cash or items like iphones, clothes, cars, ect.). The account with the large follower base makes a post telling their followers to go follow the accounts they either tagged, or choose to follow at this time. When the giveaway is over, the prize is given to the winner, and whoever they were told to follow, would be receiving hundreds if not thousands of followers as a result. Some of these followers engage, and some don't. Some may even unfollow when the contest is over because what your posting might not exactly fit their interest. You will gain a lot of followers who will stay for good as a result of the campaign and overall, a lot of people have grown successful accounts using this method.

Another great way to gain followers on Instagram, is by getting a shoutout from an account with active followers on it.
